3 Ways to Optimize Your ERP During the Coronavirus Pandemic

While now might seem like you're taking a big step back in terms of growth for your business, there are things that you can still do to gain momentum and bounce back once the crisis is over. Let's start by optimizing your ERP.

We share 3 things that you can do NOW to optimize your ERP!

3 Ways to Optimize Your ERP

1. Train!

Use this time to train. Whether you hire an outside company or leverage one of your Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct the training, now is as good a time as any to get your workforce up to speed on your ERP. We are all guilty of thinking that the system doesn't work when really it's because we don't know how to use it, especially for those casual users. Aside from getting the value out of training, this also gives you an opportunity to connect the team via a web conference and encourage interaction!

2. Review ERP Enhancements!

When is the last time you sat down and reviewed the new enhancements of your system? Think of everything that you might be missing out on! Take this time to get caught up on the new features and functionality. There may be things that you can take advantage of right away and there are certainly things that will take longer. Either way, create yourself a roadmap and plan out the updates. Now is a great time to take a step back and re-evaluate your  initiatives.

3. Archive Data/Review Reports!

A known way to increase ERP performance is data archiving. We are typically too busy with day-to-day activity to think about decade old data. Complete a comprehensive review of your data and either delete or archive it.  While you're at it, review your scheduled reports. I bet you have reports that people don't even know are running.  Deleting/archiving data and freeing up the resources that run reports will help to increase ERP performance.
